Grant Funding
The Chicago Greektown Educational Foundation is accepting applications for grants to eligible Greek language schools for calendar year 2024.
Grants can be used for a variety of projects and materials including, but not limited to, subscriptions for Ellinopoula Greek language software, books, software, audio-visual equipment, and classroom equipment (i.e., desks, chairs, dividers, office equipment). Funds must be used within one year of the application deadline.
Available Awards
The amount of the grants awarded vary due to the number of application submissions, as well as the availability of funds from the Chicago Greektown Educational Foundation’s fundraising efforts.
Due to the highly competitive nature of the grant requests, we can only provide funds to a fraction of those who apply. If you would like to donate funds so that we can provide more awards, please do so on website at www.greektowneducation.com/donations/cgef/
Eligibility
To qualify for a grant, a school must teach the Greek language to students in the State of Illinois or surrounding states and must submit an application that generally describes the specific need for grant funding and answers the following questions. Materials requested must be used for Greek education.
Please do not include any identifying information for any students in your application. Funds must be used within one year of the application deadline. Receipts and invoices for funding requested must be submitted to the foundation within the year.
The application deadline is October 1, 2024. All materials must be included in the online submission of this application. Email
